During 2004 and 2012 the german cancer aid supported the german glioma network (GGN). The GGN is a consortium where university hospitals with clinical focus in neuro-oncology, reference centers for neuroradiology, neuropathology, molecular diagnostics and biometry cooperate. Thanks to the long-term support it was possible to build a network of competence centers for the treatment of brain tumors in Germany wich is characterized by a interdisciplinary collaboration of all specialist disciplines

Goal of the Leipzig Research Center for Civilization Diseases (LIFE) is the investigation of civilization diseases like depression, diabetes, allergies or cardiovascular diseases. For this purpose we collect as much data as possible regarding health and living conditions of the population in Leipzig and provide these data for scientists of the University of Leipzig and other research institutions.
B-cell lymphoma is the most frequent lymphoid neoplasia accounting for one third of all lymphomas. R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisolone) is the current treatment standard, leading to high cure rates especially in younger patients. Although the 3-year event-free survival is about 60% even for elderly patients between 60-80 years old, the remainder of patients eventually relapse and the majority die of their disease. The German Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Study

The Covid‐19 viewer provides an intuitive tool to monitor the development of the pandemic in 188 countries using simple plots. The tool is interactive and enables the user to select different plots for single countries, groups or all of them. It visualizes descriptive features such as slopes or flattening behaviour of epidemic numbers and of their increments to allow a qualitative justification of the current state of the pandemic, e.g. whether it is growing exponentially, stopped due to counter

Analysis of large-scale molecular biological data using self-organizing maps
Comprehensive analysis of genome-wide molecular data challenges bioinformatics methodology in terms of intuitive visualization with single-sample resolution, biomarker selection, functional information mining and highly granular stratification of sample classes. oposSOM combines those functionalities making use of a comprehensive analysis and visualization strategy based on self-organizing maps (SOM) machine learning

Background: Covid-19 pandemic is developing worldwide with common dynamics but also with partly marked differences between regions and countries. They are not completely understood, but presumably, provide one clue to find ways to mitigate epidemics until exit strategies to its eradication become available. Method: We provide a monitoring tool available at www.izbi.de. It enables inspection of the dynamic state of the epidemic in 187 countries using trajectories. They visualize transmission and
